Femtation
The Exhibition "Femtation" was held at the very famous & intime venue Bellevue i Berlin. The pieces of art are all a parafrase on the suffering of Jesus. The women are smudged with lipstic, rouge and eyeshadows... they have taken all womans suffering on there shoulder, when it comes to "suffering for beauty". The woman choose are all, ofcourse, beautyicons. The message in this serie is very clear, but the factualisme is still actual and the expression is "uhh!".
At the opening of the exhibition a performance was held by the wellknown danish multiartist Vagn Groth & Miss Yula. The theme for this perfomance was the suffering for beauty. Vagn Groth had the role as the beauty dictator and surpressing factor, while Yula representet the surpressed women. Yula was painting a woman, while Vagn Groth was dictating which colour Yula coulour use. During the perfomance the tension keept on growing until Yula exploded and shouted "No more"... after this statement she began to free the woman and slowly Vagn Groth began to co-operate. The final piece of art has a very strong and clear expression and it tell a minute of a lifetime story.
