"The Temp File Project"

When do we copy? - about copyright
The title refers to temperary files, which are copies of various things we proceed on the computer no matter the copyrights. But we actually download them and store them. So the question is "What is an original and what is a copy and when do we copy?"

The artist Bettina Molsner, who's the flagholder of the project, manipulated the image of The Little Mermaid, were the rock (The Little Mermaid sits on a rock) is the only original element remaing. Then the artist copied the manipulated object and invited 5 artist to manipulate futher with that copy. To hang on to the comparison with the computerprocesses, she outsourced her art.

"The Little Warmaid"
My contribution was a collage of her manipulation of The Little Mermaid PLUS a sculpture called "The Little Warmaid", which is made out of readymades including a souvenier of the The Little Mermaid, which again is a copy, with copyrights.
